Atlantis (Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, UAE)

This 7 stars behemoth resort required a staggering $1.5 billion to develop its 113 acres. The Aquaventure theme park takes up 160,000 square meters while Dolphin Bay takes up 45,000 square meters. There are also 1,900 square meters reserved for retail space. Atlantis alone contains 1539 rooms which increases the city's hotel capacity by 3%. Every day, 15,000 meals are served with room service taking no more than 15 minutes. The design efficiency given the gigantic scale is truly a marvel.

The resort has a giant, open-air tank with 65,000 different sea creatures in 11 million liters of water. This sets an incredible atmosphere that is unlikely to be found elsewhere.

Aquaventure contains a river ride of over 2 kilometers which amounts to 1.25 miles. The water is very warm around Dubai so I think I would actually take a nap in this 1.25 mile ride.

There are some varying areas within Atlantis that provides a different feel. Variation in designs gives guests options to decide which luxurious style they would want to experience.

A quick check shows prices of lowest room being $500 a night and the highest suite being $12,000 a night. This extraordinary resort is definitely worth the price tag.
