Surreal & Abstract Ingenuity (David Fuhrer)

David Fuhrer is an up and coming artistic talent who was born 1985, in Bern, Switzerland. In his childhood, he was inspired by Disney movies and the careers of astronauts. As he grew up, he cites gaming and countless artists as huge influences on his works. His earlier works were more abstract but he mentions that his productions have become more focused over time.

In his interview (here), David Fuhrer stated that a single illustration could take months to complete.

David Fuhrer never went to any schools as he wears a shirt stating "my school is life". He is an incredible self taught artist and flash developer with immense creativity. Illustrations such as the Big Tree or Metal Heart showcases his imagination.

  1. Absolute EPIC pictures. What an amazing process it is I'm sure that consumes so much of his time and energy. Does he program the skis in which he paints into his mind before he lays the law of the land? Does he spray the image from his own history? Impalpably it is, I would not mind having a conversation with this man.

    He said he used Photoshop and a Wacom Cintiq. He is interested in doing acrylic paintings as he admires numerous painters.
