How Hard Do You Work?

Everyone works at some point in life. Some more than others, some less. The infographic below by Good Magazine vividly displays statistics revolving around data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Most of the numbers seem reasonable but I was surprised by the percent of work at home.

How much of that work was truly work? Quality work where we are suppose to be doing what we were paid to do instead of extraneous activities. I had to chuckle at this one as most of the details in the next infographic is probably true (unfortunately for employers). What causes slacking? Day dreaming, summer heat, or perhaps just a dire need of vacation?

Effects that cause workers to be tired and weary are legitimate excuses for slacking in my opinion. We are only human after all. I don't think most other reasons for being lazy are very valid but I'm not one to judge as I would also like to reserve my right to be spontaneously lazy =)

World War 2 Data Visuals

During World War 2, technological perks and disadvantages varied greatly between various countries. Everyone has heard about flamethrowers but the more detailed characteristic of the weapon is most likely less known. The infographics below by Max Gadney contain specific details regarding equipment and weapons.

Such fascinating information really puts into perspective how terrifying some of the World War 2 weapons were. Some of the other infographics discusses the specifications of gliders, bomb sights, browning machine gun and various explosives. Every piece of equipment had their ups and downs when compared between factions. The overall effectiveness of a certain weapon had to strike a balance in numerous aspects such as firepower, simplicity, durability, rate of fire, capacity and much more.

From the big picture of World War 2, it can be easily seen how incredibly deadly to be on the receiving end from one of these weapons or frightening to deal with the faults of the gear when your life is on the line.

Neurology & Psychology Infographics

These infographics display lesser known facts about the human mind and the way it works. Some of the tests like the Pinocchio experiment really exposes fascinating quirks of the brain. The first two data visuals deal mostly with neurology while the third infographic vivifies certain carnal psychological conditions.

Financial Infographics (US)

These data visuals contain financial statistics ranging from taxes, debt, expenditure and bankruptcy. Most of the financial infographics contain data mainly about the US but a few are composed of global information. Note that some of the statistics vary over the same subject due to when each of the infographics were made and their time period focus.
