Dolphin & Shark Jet Ski

The Seabreacher J series were designed by Rob Innes and Dan Piazza of Innespace for recreational boating. The concept of a submersible craft imitating the movements of a dolphin was first conceived by Thomas Rowe and Dennis Kaiser in 1987. A 215 hp Rotax engine yields around 40 mph on the surface and 20 mph below the surface. The Seabreacher can generate a 12 feet (3.6 meters) leap with a 6 feet dive. Snorkel mounted cameras can be used to send live video feed to the built in LCD display.

The Seabreacher X, designed with the body of a shark, can support 260 hp Rotax engines. This variant yields 50 mph above water and 25 mph under water. Both variants X and J are composed of tough fiberglass materials to create an impact resist body. The canopy consist of a half inch polycarbonate material which are also used in fighter jets. There are three automatic bilge pumps added as a precaution for any leaks that occur.

Even with all the built in safety designs, the makers still recommend there be a support boat to keep other boats away. The visibility is very poor during a dive as seen in the video.

Seen above are examples of some custom paint jobs that adds much flare to the personal watercraft. The Seabreachers are targeted to the luxury yacht industry and comes with an enormous cost that most ordinary people probably won't be able to afford. The price tag on these specialized jet skis range at around $65,000 to $85,000 depending on the level of customization.

The Flying Cruise Ship: Aeroscraft ML866

The Aeroscraft ML866 is a heavier than air hybrid airship that is currently being worked on by the Worldwide Aeros Corporation. Two thirds of ML866's lift is provided by the helium while the remaining portion is supplemented by the forward thrust from its engine. There are six turbojets facing downward that allows for vertical departure or landing. The Aeroscraft not only fits the role of a flying luxury cruiser but also the roles of a private yacht, a business transport, a freighter, or an airborne tourist ship.

The ML866 design is also planned to be used as a military transport for its 60 tons payload capacity and the ability to land in rough terrain without airstrips. Unfortunately, the top speed of the Aeroscraft is only around 120 knots which equates to 138 miles per hour. The slow speed along with its massive surface area renders dire vulnerability to the transport.

Another commonly discussed use of the Aeroscraft was to function as a hotel. This, however, does not seem practical as passengers cannot choose when to leave or enter the flying dirigible as they please. The airship is more of a proper fit as a yacht or cruiser.

The ML866 design can be outfitted with a casino, dining room, bar, sports rom, hot tub, or library. For the more business related setup, there can be a conference room, work stations, and offices.

The estimated price tag of this modernized blimp currently stands at 40 million. Such a rare but incredible experience will result in high ticket prices for this craft as demand will most likely be up.
